He was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1959 to 1967: they won five NFL championships during his 9 year tenure. Following a one-year retirement from coaching in 1968, he returned as head coach of the Washington Redskins for the 1969 season. He owns a 9-1 record in the post-season. |
